Yesterday & Today
The Korean Care Home, originally named the Korean Old Men's Home, was founded by Dr. Syngman Rhee in 1929 to serve the needs of the Korean Community.
In 1931, the Korean Christian Church took over the operation of the care home, which cared for 22-30 elderly Korean men.
In 1972, the care home opened its doors to both men and women of different cultures.
The Korean Care Home is licensed as Adult Residential Type II. The facility has grounds and buildings reminiscent of old Hawaii. Residents live in a very home-like setting. The home provides 24-hour care and delicious, healthy home cooked meals daily.
